I do this just before the growing season and it's worked well. I still have to pluck out the occasional weed here and there, but overall it's been a great answer to those annoying pests.BernieHhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04435004798656616711noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36031863.post-5667687140121918202010-03-31T19:06:20.349-07:002010-03-31T19:06:20.349-07:00I love your title...and how true it is. It seems to suppress the growth of weeds and minimizes their numbers in the long term. Sometimes I think the latter would be great esp when I see bigger plants that I cannot have in my small space. But then I think about how hassle free it is for me now...Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13755278209399870145noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36031863.post-82443721757767877502010-03-31T05:23:49.188-07:002010-03-31T05:23:49.188-07:00I smother a lot of mine....some newspapers and mul...I smother a lot of mine....some newspapers and mulch or leaves on top...Darlahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09976608531478457839noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36031863.post-31927492275952217962010-03-30T20:41:36.599-07:002010-03-30T20:41:36.599-07:00I do a combination of #1 and #3. Just don't get any on the adjacent plants or it will kill them also. Vinegar is safe and biodegradable.<br />DO NOT add salt to the spray as some recipes suggest.sanddunehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10091633099445758748noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36031863.post-65384388908404333552010-03-30T19:55:02.902-07:002010-03-30T19:55:02.902-07:00Since I am a new gardener, so I put mulch right a...Since I am a new gardener, so I put mulch right after I open a new flower bed.
