It took a few days, but I am beginning to unwind, I am checking my email from work less and less (thousands curses to the inventor of the Blackberry) I can see myself as a permanent Sanibel resident living the life of a beach bum, tending a small garden of course.
Yesterday was my birthday, the big 57 (1825 days to go before retirement, age 62 is the target). My family took me out to dinner to the Bubble Room in Captiva one of our favorite restaurants on the islands.

Happy late birthday ! Sounds like you are having a great one. Blackberrys ( crackberrys ), can mess up your daily life, and steal minutes which become hours, which become days and years of our lives. I know, I had one for a few years . trying to cut back on the internet as well, life is too short, Gina

Happy belated birthday! I totally agree that the new technology not only shorten the distance in a good way, but sometimes in a bad way as well! It made us no escape even when you have a vacation! Enjoy your vacation, garden will still be there for you when you return :)
