This weekend I took a trip to my local Home Depot and found this beautiful fountain. It’s the right size and height and resembles the fountains found in courtyards in Italy. I am very happy with the result.
On Sunday, my wife and I attended "Butterfly Days" at the Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden in Miami. This is an annual event but it was my first time seeing it. We had a great time! It was amazing to see hundreds of native butterflies flapping around the grounds of this amazing garden. We attended a couple of seminars on how to make your garden butterfly-friendly and got some great tips. Sorry no pictures--I forgot my camera!

Gday Rusty. I got a lot of catching up to do here. Ohh I do like your new fountain, but I also liked the old one its just like my Daughters ive never seen it green if the 5 years she has had it. I know she buys speciall pond tablets and it keeps it sparkling..Ill be back to catch up ...
I believe the foundtain is quite an improvement - just looks better in that spot. The vertical line adds interest. Beautiful back yard! Vickie
Love the fountain, it looks great.
I think it's a good idea to change your pond with a new fountain. It's easier to clean and maintain fountain than the old pond. Goodluck with your new fountain.
Hi Rusty the new fountain is wonderful and what a feature to your garden.....I think you may get a bird or two taking a bath in there...>>>>
Butterflies are wonderful.....planting is an important element to attract them.....I am sure you will enjoy this project......
Hi Rusty, the fountain is a very nice addition to your beautiful garden. I love the use of kalanchoes and bromeliads around the fountain too.
Best Wishes
