GBBD September 15

Tacca Integrifolia

This week my tacca bloomed for the first time ever. Isn’t she the most fantastic looking flower? I am in total awe of this plant.

I have many ground orchids flowering in my front garden.

Fall is time for my bromeliads to bloom these beautiful red flowers.

My purple allamanda is doing well.

The pink and purple Ruellias are blooming all over the garden

The chenille plant looks great.

Happy Bloom Day, Rusty! How magnificent that you had the tacca bloom to share for today; I've been dying to try growing that.

Hi Rusty, so glad you are safe and sound and so is your garden. I love the way you have the orchid baskets attached to the fence. I would love to do that, but have to have them on copper to keep the snails and slugs out of them, is that a problem for you? The tacca gets a gold star for cooperating for bloom day! It is truly awe inspiring!

Fantastic, freak & awesome are the words that spring to mind after seeing images of that Bat plant thing. The Chenille plant is pretty bizarre too, and I mean that in a good way. Does it feel as good as it looks? I love all the different colored Ruellias you grow. I, sadly, have only the plain lavender one.

I always wanted to obtain a tacca but never got around to buying one so I'll just enjoy looking at your spectacular flower. Thanks for posting a picture.

The tacca is indeed striking. My favorite is the chenille plant, so bright and always remind me of childhood when i loved to play with the "tails"
