Salad anyone?

Yesterday I picked my first full salad from my winter garden, as you can see I got a couple of bush tomatoes, plenty of yellow cherry tomatoes (they are so sweet), arugula and lettuce.
The amount of work I am putting into the vegetable garden this year, does not compensate the production I am getting back, but I don’t care, everything is so tasty and is all organic.

This is the vegetable garden tonight, the temperature is supposed to go down in the mid 30’s. We are in the middle of a cold spell that is going to be around the entire week, definite not typical Florida winter weather.

Hi Rusty~~ I hope this cold blast is in a hurry. Your salad looks delish. Was that arugula I saw or a type of lettuce? Whatever it is my mouth was watering. Stay warm.

Salad looks yummy. I just saw on the news that the citrus crop is endangered by the cold temperatures yet again. It seems to me the citrus growers had a bad one last year, so I sure hope for their sakes that the weather doesn't get as cold as is being predicted.

I can see most of your plants there are tropical, so they will not be able to brave the cold. I am new here, i am from the tropics. I envy my friend when she said her backyard is the Everglades, but maybe the cold can be very difficult for us who were born in the tropics. Isn't it better if you will be choosing the semi temperate ones? I certainly pity the plants, and of course the owner who tend the plant, then eventually seeing them gone. lol.
