More color please

Word came down from the office of the DragonFly CFO.

I want less of this!!! (The CFO doesn’t like bromeliads)

I want more of this.

Change of plans for this corner of the front garden, originally I was going to plant bromeliads. but my wife made it clear that they are not her favorites. So roses it is.

This is what I have to deal with every time I plant anything a foot down. There are about two feet of crush rock below my garden; the developers put it there before they got the permits to build. Originally this area was swampland and part of the Everglades.
Roses are my wife’s favorite, I like them too, but South Florida is not an ideal place to grow them, they need a lot of TLC. The tall one in the back was in pot, the other three I purchased at Home Depot this morning.

My first movie
This is my first attempt at using the movie feature in my camera. You won’t see this movie at the Oscar’s tomorrow night.

I loved the tour ... your first video was terrific, thank you. You have such lovely little corners all over your garden and so many little spots to sit and enjoy the view. I particularly loved your courtyard and that back patio looks like a fabulous spot to unwind at the end of a long day.

I'm sure it is good, I tried three times to view it and it just spins and does not download. Mine did that too, I think when you use your camera instead of a video recorder, the files are so large they can't download quickly. found that out. Everyone else sees it though !

Thank you for a great tour of your garden. You have created many lovely spaces throughout. Enjoyed hearing the fountain and the birds in the background. I can imagine sitting on your back porch and just enjoying it all. So peaceful.

Wow! That is a lovely garden. Love all the hardscape patios and paths with benches to take a rest all along the way. The courtyard is my favorite. So beautiful and peaceful! I'd love to have a window with a view like that! Your Starburst Clero is just stunning!

I too think you did a great job with your first video! I tried doing this last week but failed horribly. The video turned out so shaky, I was getting dizzy trying to watch it. The file was ridiculously huge as well. I'll need to adust settings and practice a bit before I'll be able to get one in the blog.

Hey Rusty...I loved the video. It gives us a better look at the how the entire garden flows and looks. Great idea! Your garden is so neat/orderly and has so many interesting spots. I especially like the view into your courtyard...very peaceful and relaxing. Thanks for the tour. P.s. the rose will be a nice touch for the Mrs.

Excellent video. I enjoyed it very much. Your pictures say a lot about your garden, but this is awesome. I just planted a brocolli, hope it will do as well as yours.

Very nice job on the video. Quite artistic, starting from the gateway to the little walkway among the foliage, the fountains, potting shed area, bird houses, spanish moss all added to the atmosphere of peace and tranquility. Very, very nice.
