GBBD in South Florida

Another Gardeners Bloggers Bloom Day but this one is special; it's my birthday. The pictures below are the blooms from the DragonFly Garden this morning. The rainy season has finally arrived and it has rained the last three days. The temperatures also spiked into the high 90's (That's S. Florida in the summer).

Thryallis

Ground orchid

White plumeria

Rain lillies after the rain.

Milk weed

Shrimp plant

Purple Allamanda

Miniture red ixora

Blue Porterweed

Kimgs Mantle

Don't know the name of this one. Any one???

Lovely blooms! King's Mantle is one of my personal faves. Wish I could find some rain lilies for sale...anywhere. They're poppin' up all over town right now, even in lawns. That last one is a Peacock Ginger (Kaempferia).

Such a lovely collection of bloomers on GBBD. I'll have to look up King's Mantle - very pretty. My ground orchid didn't survive the winter. Happy birthday!
