I got a Nikon Coolpix P80 with an 18x optical zoom. No excuses now--I should be able to take better pictures for my blog.
Elsewhere in the garden.
The oxalis weeds are back with vengeance. I am tired of fighting this obnoxious weed. They are growing everywhere--in the flowerbeds, the grass, and in my new vegetable garden. I have tried many home remedies and have come to the same conclusion--nothing works!
Update on my front garden project.
The project is coming along very slowly since the bougainvillea is not an easy plant to trim back (I have the scars to prove it!). I am planning to give the project a good push in the next couple of weeks, unless the Miami Dolphins make the playoffs (that is American football for those of you not familiar).
And finally, this week, I’ll be working on my New Year's resolutions. I feel this year is an important one to make some changes in my life!

congrats on the camera, isn't it so much fun when you get a great new real toy.
i got a coolpix 8.0 a small digital camera for carrying around, just what i wanted and didn't tell anyone.
That darned oxalis. Isn't it frustrating when something we don't want just keeps growing out of control. I have a few things like that in my yard; violas, for one. Their roots are endless...nothing seems to kill them! They've taken over my back yard. They're pretty in samll amounts but in massive amounts they are a pain! Congrat's on the camera. I know I have loved having my digital camera (Nikon D-40). Jan
Invasives are a big problem! So sorry about the oxalis...it is deceptive with it's sweet flower! Good luck with it! gail
Hi Rusty....so glad you are pleased with your camera.....
the oxalis is difficult to eradicate......if you can stand it just keep pulling it out. I did get rid of mine.....but occasionally get the odd clump......
wow - nice camera. looking forward to what you can do with it.
Suggested resolution: take it easy. You could do worse than oxalis. In my So Cal front yard, they're about all that survives once I turn off the daily irrigation.
