Welcome to my blog--a journal about my urban garden, the critters that
live and visit it, local places of interest, and an occasional rant on the environmental issues that affect us all.
Beautiful photographs Rusty.....what a bright and sunny colour.....
I am pleased to say that I can grow hibiscus here as long as they are in a sheltered position. Mine will bloom in late June......and they will not be as bright as yours.......
I am a late-comer to the pleasures of gardening but I come from a long line of farmers and gardeners. I was born on the island of Cuba and my family always worked the soil, cultivating plants for food and beauty. Today I live in the fast and hectic city of Miami. My back yard is small, but I am slowly trying to make it into an oasis and a refuge from the hardships of urban living. I live with my wife, two grown daughters, and my faithful Australian Cattle Dog, Rosie.

Your yellow hibiscus is beautiful !
That sure is a beautiful Hibiscus. Such a warm, soothing color. Fantastic Rusty.
Beautiful picture! Is that Hibiscus "Ft. Meyers"? If so, I got one the other day and love it.

It's all about balance isn't it. We have had so much rain, everyone was celebrating the blue skies today. The yard was mowed. All is well.
