New logo for the DragonFly garden.

The garden has an official new logo; I found this cute dragonfly in a store on Sanibel Island.
These rain lilies are in full bloom this weekend, they only bloom once a year but when they do, they put on a show.

August is my least favorite time of the year in South Florida; by the time it comes around we are all so sick of the heat. Every year we tell ourselves that this is the hottest August ever, and this one is no exception.
This morning I was in the garden from 7 to 9am , I did some weeding and trimmed some bushes but by mid morning it was time to come inde to the AC.
This week I was so busy at work that I did not have any time to visit my favorite blogs, I am hoping to catch up this weekend.

That is a perfect logo and placed in the perfect spot as well. Seeing your Rain Lillies makes me so excited to see mine do that in a few years.

It is hot and humid here....we have had very little rain this summer and my garden is as dry as a bone......

Hi Rusty, I came across ur blog upon searching for white angel's trumpets & yours is beautiful. I too am new to gardening (in Manhattan Beach, CA) & even better, I am Cuban American as well! I just wanted to let you know how lovely your garden is, especially the wild orchid & angel's trumpets! I hope to grow one here and have a place for it but I want to make sure I purchase a variety that can handle the hot summers. Take care and I look forward to your next blog. :) Vivian
