I was asked the other day, what was my gardening style. My answer was “Eclectic-Experimental.” I don’t
pay much attention to mix and matching or color coordination, if I like the
plant and there is an open space, it goes in the ground. Sometimes the experiment works, but most of
the times I have to move the same plant several times until I find the perfect spot.
There is not much order or many rules in
my garden, I only have two, no weeds or snails allow.
Today, I took out several banana plants that were doing poorly and cleaned the area of old trunks.

Help!!! Senior moment I can remember the name of these flowers.
I will be taking a week off from the garden. My oldest daughter is getting married next week and we are all very excited. I hope everyone has a happy and safe 4th of July.

The flowers in the last picture are Siam tulips, or Curcuma alismatifolia. Your garden looks so beautiful! I have very similar gardening style with you, and I move the plants so often. lol!

A garden is always a work in progress. I'm like you. I call it the zen approach. Try it if I like it, move it if necessary, and if it dies, at least I've learnt something.
I like your style, similar to mine, which I call 'tropical cottage'.

I love your garden style. Mine is very similar. I enjoy various kinds of plants and strive to find the interesting. I think the more you have in your garden the more enjoyable it is. Thank you for sharing your space.

Your garden style is like mine; plant it in an empty spot and stand back. I had to laugh about your moving plants around comment. I just finished moving some plants today when I came in a read your blog. LOL
I like the Persian shield and Caladium combination a lot. I think you've invented something new and in need of some experimentation with other Caladiums.
