It took two days but finally the lights are up. Every year I tell my self this is the last year I’ll put lights up, but then my neighbors decorate their houses and I feel guilty that my house would be the only one not decorated.
I also remember how much fun it was for my girls when they were little and walked around the neighborhood looking at the lights. So now I do it for my neighbors kids.

Ohhh-very nice! Thanks for sharing with all of us in your internet neighborhood too.
So Christmas-y. I have half of my lights up, but had to go to the store to get some more lights. Now you've motivated me to get them up, or is it that the weather is going to change and it will get very cold by the end of the week. Regardless, I'd better to hop to it!
Oh, that's what I call the American way of Christmas decorations, well done! Over here in Germany, this kind of X-Mas decorations would be very unusual. We do not at all have neigborhoods that are all decorated like this. I am sure the kids will enjoy your lights!
I decorate for the neighborhood kids too. When the snow and sub-zero temps hit us on Wednesday I was sure glad I'd put the lights up last weekend when it was a balmy 50 degrees! Yours look very nice.
Anita, people don't do holiday lights on their houses in Germany? I didn't know that!
