May bloom day at the DragonFly garden

May bloom day is here, and the colors in the garden are looking good after a few days of rain.

The Orange Bougainvillea is looking good this week

My favorite flower the Hollyhocks are blooming everywhere

This wild orchid surprised me with flowers this week.

The white Pentas are ready for the bees.

The Dragon Wind Begonia is adjusting well to a new location in the garden

A beautiful pink rose

The Zinnias are hanging in there before they disappear for the summer

The flowers on this Coleus are as beautiful as the plant.

My new Moss Roses, they are great ground cover

Beautiful plants and colors. I love that color of Hollyhock. At one time (in Canada) I had one that was such a deep purple it was almost black, it was gorgeous.

Your cosmos disappear in the summer? That is when ours take center stage. You have a lovely rose! And the pentas surely look ready for the bees.

Hi Rusty, your flowers look so luscious. And even writing the phrase, "The wild orchids surprised me with flowers", is miraculous. Your garden looks very inviting and lush. Your cosmos look a lot like the little zinnias here, one of our favorites for season long color. The hollyhocks are sensational. Thanks for all the great photos.

Beautiful color on that hollyhock. Lately I've been loving them again after a few years away from planting them. I see I need to plan for next year.

Hi Rusty! I'm very impressed with your Pentas. I tried to grow some from seed this year and failed miserably. Yours are looking fabulous. Oooh, love the moss roses too! -Jen :)

You've got hollyhocks! Next year- they are on my list of flowers to acquire. Great blooms, Rusty.
Glad somewhere it is raining in Florida. We haven't had one drop in over 4 weeks... makes the garden very thirsty.

My mom always taught me to pinch the flowers off the Coleus, but after seeing yours, I'll be leaving them on. Your Begonia is so gorgeous, I think I might have to do a hanging basket this year.
BTW - I'm so excited for you that you have Swallowtail caterpillars. I would love to have a chrysalis, but I never seem to get any caterpillars.
