Around the DragonFly on Earth day weekend

This morning I was out in the garden before sun up, the weather was perfect for gardening. My plans for today were to replace the back garden water fountain and buy a new one.
The old water fountain was fine but lately it was loosing all the water in a couple of hours so I decided to buy a new one and use the old one as planter. I am used to the sound of running water in the garden so a water fountain in the back garden is a must.

I moved the birdbath to other areas of the garden; changing things around make the garden more interesting. Don’t you think?

The Yellow Tab trees are lighting up all of South Florida everywhere you look these trees are in full bloom, it makes my work commute more interesting.
My Yellow Tab tree is not the best looking in the neighborhood but I am used to it by now. These trees seem to thrive on abandonment and my tree having regular watering and fertilizer does not seem to have the need to put out too many flowers.

Today I noticed that the Plumeria tree is beginning to have flowers, summer is here!!!

I have new neighbors in the garden, pair of Starlin birds is nesting in the garden and the place they picked to nest is very strange. See the pictures in my other blog My Viewfinder

Your garden is wonderful! Love the bromeliad arrangements! And all the water features look perfect in their surroundings. My tab tree has never bloomed with wild abandon like others 'round town either. But I am happy just to have any blooms. There is a super-old, gigantic tab on the corner that puts on the most unbelievable show every year! I hope mine does that one day. By the way, that plumeria is awesome!!! Mine were cut back by our cold weather, and quite frankly, I'm just happy they're alive.

What a lush, joyous garden, Rusty. Hard to believe what things looked like just a couple of months ago, isn't it? I'm with you about moving things around, like garden art/accents. It happens here fairly regularly. Especially when I bring home more...

That is about right for a starling....they will nest just about anywhere given the opportunity. Their fledglings are very noisy....hope you have some earplugs!!

Your garden is looking great Rusty.....

I love how your garden looks with different birdbath, and water fountains and frog decors. I have the exact white begonia in my garden, do you know what is that begonia's name? I want to include at least one water fountain in my garden, still on my wish list.

Love the idea to use the old fountain as he planter. It will look gorgeous when filled with flowers/foliages.

I gasped when I read you were getting rid of the fountain, but was relieved to hear you repurposed it...it's so lovely. And, the new fountain...wow...it's just as lovely. I do agree with you about changing things around...it makes the garden new and fresh again.
