Rookie mistake
After many delays, I finally finished one of the vegetable beds. The tomatoes are in, I planted three types red, yellow cherry and big boys. In the square blocks I planted herbs and marigolds.
This year I made a rookie mistake, too much compost, making the Ph level totally off. Today I mixed in more regular soil, hopefully it will do the jobCheck out my new rain barrel, 50 gallons of water plus an additional 30 gallon tank. With all the rain this week both are full

Tonight we are having a party for my daughter, to celebrate her engagement. We expect around 35 guest.

On the road again
This is my first video with my new Nikon D3100, as you can see I'm not very good at it. This video does not do justice to the fall colors at the Maroon Bells in the White River National Forest near Aspen Colorado, the place was spectacular.
I will be traveling all this week for my job, (another week away from the garden) and next week I'm having 35 guest coming for my daughter engagement party
