End of the season
Today I pulled out all the vegetable plants except for some
herbs, peppers and the sweet pea tomatoes.
The hot sunny days are here, announcing the end of the vegetable
season. This year once again I had successes
and failures, but it won’t keep me from planning next year’s garden.

I know the feeling of putting the vegetable garden to rest over Summer. Yours sounds a lot like ours. We can only grow most vegies during the cooler months. I try some things in Summer - but with mixed success.
I was late planting this year, so all my veggies are just starting to bloom, I am in central Florida so I will see how things go. So far everything looks good, next year I have to get over my fear of planting too soon, I have been living here for 19 years and I still garden like I am back north.
I'm still planting the really tough tropical stuff, like sweet potatoes, cassava and yard-long beans... but a lot of my spring veggies are already giving up.
Actually, it's almost as satisfying cleaning the beds out as it is planting them.
